Abstract：
For small batch or single piece of large steel castings,the usual process is preparation mold,core,and then the follow-up work,due to the need to make molds,making the cycle long and high cost.Through the use of mould-free CNC machining technology to prepare casting mold,core,not only to ensure the size of precision,but also do not need to make mold,significantly shorten the production cycle,save the consumption of mold materials,reduce the casting waste,reduce the manufacturing cost.The production has proved that the mould-free NC machining technology can completely meet the requirements of mold and core for large castings.
