Foundry Technology, founded in 1979, sponsored by China Foundry Association (CFA) and Xi'an Foundry Society (XFS), and is the only official publication of the CFA. It is indexed by 19 databases, including the Chemistry Digest (CA), the Metal Digest (MA), and others. It is also collected by the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). It mainly contains reports of original research which reflect progress in the field of foundry technology, material science and engineering, including cast iron, cast steel, various forms of non-ferrous alloys, sand casting and special casting technologies. It focuses on foundry research, technology and academic exchanges. It facilitates transforming scientific research into industrial applications.

Foundry Technology consists of the following columns: Research Progress, Experimental Research, Technology, Today's Foundry, etc. It is now published monthly on the 18th of each month, and it is issued domestically and overseas by the Shaanxi Press Bureau of Newspaper and Periodical and the China International Book Trading Corporation (CIBTC), respectively.
