The orthogonal experimental method was employed in this work to research the law of effect of Mo, Ni and Cu on the as cast microstructure and mechanical properties of Cr26 high chromium cast iron that used on the furnace liner. Based on the data of the impact toughness and macrohardness, the optimization about the composition was carried on. The results show that the most significant effect of any one alloy element on the mechanical properties owns to Ni, and the best combination is Mo and Cu. The best ascast mechanical properties, which are HRC 55.5 and 7.4 J·cm-2 can be obtained when the composition is 0.6 wt.%Mo、0.7 wt.%Ni and 1.0 wt.%Cu, and the corresponding microstructure contains hexagonal M7C3 primary carbides, eutectic M7C3 carbides and austenite.
