Lightweight Design of Aluminum Rim Based on Bending Fatigue Simulation Analysis

Abstract:
The bending strength and fatigue properties of A356 aluminum alloy were obtained by finite element method. The difference of stress, damage value and distribution area before and after design scheme was compared. Verify the feasibility of lightweight scheme, provide effective basis for rim weight reduction, and then save development cost.
