Abstract:
ZL205 alloy has important applications in aerospace field because of its high strength, adjustable microstructure and properties. Aiming at the casting performance of ZL205 alloy, this paper first designed the pouring system including different types and sizes of process parts and fabricated the ceramic mold shell. Then, the investment casting technology under gravity conditions was carried out. Under the preheating temperatures of 200 and 500 ℃, natural and air cooling, the forming ability and casting defects were analyzed. Further, the microstructure of typical parts were studied, and the influence of wall thickness, cooling rate and other factors on the solidified microstructure was discussed. The results can provide technical guidance for investment casting of various types of ZL205 alloy components.
