Key Words:nanocrystalline magnesium alloy AZ91 grain refining mechanical properties
Abstract:Nanocrystalline magnesium alloy bulks with an average grain sizes about 15 nm were obtained by hydrogenation-disproportionation-dehydrogenation-recombination,spark plasma sintering and hot extrusion. The mechanical properties of nanocrystalline AZ91 magnesium alloy bar show that its tensile strength is up to 267 MPa at room temperature. It is also show that nanocrystalline magnesium alloys have special mechanical behavior when the grain size is less than 20 nm,which proves the existence of an anti-Hall-Petch relationship.
