Effects of the Sintering Process on the Microstructure and Electrical Properties of 0.95(K0.5Na0.5)NbO_3-0.05Ba(Zr0.05Ti0.95)O_3 Lead-free Ceramics

Abstract:
The 0.95(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3-0.05Ba(Zr0.05Ti0.95)O3 lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by two-step sintering method.The influence of sintering process on microstructure and electrical properties of ceramics was studied.The results show that 0.95 KNN-0.05 BZT could be prepared by two-step sintering method in a wide temperature range.In addition,increasing the sintering temperature in the first step and prolonging the holding time in the second step can improve the density,piezoelectric and dielectric properties of 0.95 KNN-0.05 BZT ceramics.Optimum process parameters for 1 190℃/10 min/1 050℃/15 h,its performance for the d33=136.7 pC/N,kp=50%,εr=1698 and tanδ=0.023,respectively.
