Abstract：
Magnesium alloys play an important role in lightweight parts, especially in the field of automotive parts has been widely concerned. The development history of magnesium alloys at home and abroad, the application of magnesium alloy in automobile parts and its role in light quantification, energy saving and emission reduction and improving safety performance are summarized. The research and future development trend of magnesium alloys in automobile field at home and abroad are analyzed from the aspects of automotive engine, wheel hub, bodywork and bracket parts.
