Abstract:The typical sand casting defects in production of Nickel-Aluminum alloy propeller, such as shringage cacity and porosity, sub-surface porosity, cold shut, metal penetration, slag inclusion and scab of copper alloy were introduced. The main reasons for the defects were analyzed and the corresponding solutions were proposed to improve the product quality in production.
