Abstract:Self-priming pump for nuclear power plant has complex structure,compact structure and strict internal and external surface requirements,especially the formation of internal cavity is extremely difficult. The casting process design of self-priming pump for nuclear power was discussed from the aspects of casting process design and casting simulation. The results show that the complex cavity can be obtained by the combination of 3 D printing and traditional die core-making. The feeding distance of thin-walled parts is short,so it is necessary to increase the number of risers for feeding. Sequential solidification can be achieved with the combination of chiller. Through casting simulation,the optimized casting process is feasible.
