Research Progress of Aluminum/Nickel Lamellar Composites

Abstract:In recent decades, aluminum/nickel layered composites, as a new type of composite material with light weight,
high strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and high energy density, have become one of the research
hotspots of metal layered composites, and have a broad prospect in the fields of high temperature structural materials,
battery manufacturing and weapons equipment. The development background and current status of Al/Ni layered
composites are reviewed. The formation of different Al/Ni intermetallic compounds at the composite interface is analyzed
from thermodynamics and kinetics. The preparation process, mechanical properties and influencing factors of Al/Ni
laminated composites were discussed, and the research direction and development trend of Al/Ni laminated composites
were prospected.
