Operation and Control Measures for Cylindrical Surface Bridge Bearing Produced by Lost Foam Casting

Abstract：Steel railway bridge bearings were produced by lost foam casting, which can greatly simplify the operation process. The production efficiency was raised, the quality of the casting was improved and the yield of casting is increased. It was found that casting defects, i.e, shrinkage, porosity, carbon defects, and sand fusion were always generated in the cast steel bearing by lost foam casting. In this paper the technological methods and parameters on producing qualified bridge bearing steel casting were put forward.
