Abstract:The strip of Oxygenfree Copper were produced through undercurrent horizontal continuous castingcold rolling technique. It were found that there were some microcracks, internal shrinkage, and inversesegregation in the strip billet of Oxygenfree Copper, which debase the densities of the strip billet and were the main reasons for rejected castings during cold working. Through the orthogonal experiment on the technical factors in the casting process, the mapping model of artificial neural networks had been established using the data obtained in the experiments. With the help of this model, the optimal casting conditions had been studied by GA optimizations method and real experiments. The results show that the microstructures of castings were improved and densities of the strip billet were enhanced.
