Effects of θ′ Phase on the Microstructure

Abstract:Effects of θ′ phase on the microstructure and mechanical properties of AlxCu 2xxx series aluminum alloy were investigated. The volume fraction of θ′ phase has a quantitatine relationship with mechanica properties. The quantity and clensity of θ′ phase directly affect mechanical properties. The growth direction of θ′ phase leads to anisotropy of AlCu alloy, which because of the different quantities pecipitates in different hakitplanes.
