Abstract:Compared to the sample without ultrasonic treatment, it was found that, for AZ31 magnesium melt alloy treated by ultrasonic, the refined grain size and the inproved distribution of grain with its shape of ovalshaped or spherical can be obtained, and the precipitation inside Al matrix was inhibited The Mg17Al12 precipitates distributed mainly along the grain boundary and hardness was improved remarkedly.
