Study on Health Monitoring and Safety Assessment System of Submarine Pipeline

Abstract:On-line health monitoring and safety assessment system based on intelligent sensing technique such as grating and optical fiber is becoming the tool and also the development trend of submarine pipeline damage detection. According to characteristics of submarine pipeline, the monitoring and assessment system designs on data flow, system functions and database are presented in this paper. The above results are applied to develop a set of subsystems including experimental model subsystem, data interchange subsystem, data querying subsystem and safety assessment subsystem for earthquake response experiment of free spanning sub- marine pipeline. The basic functions of health monitoring and safety assessment system of submarine pipeline are preliminarily achieved.
