The chemical composition of QT400-18Al was determined by theoretical analysis and practical production
experience. The spheroidizing process of low rare earth ferrosilicon magnesium alloy was adopted. Barium ferrosilicon
inoculant was used to inoculate by means of prefurnace inoculation and instantaneous inoculation. The results show that a
low temperature QT400-18Al suitable for -40 ℃ is obtained, and its mechanical properties and microstructure meet the
technical requirements.
